Als ik later groot ben
HKU graduation film by Naomi Aalbers and Job van Helden. Nine-year-old Nora's weekend can't get any better when her older sister Elin comes home to look after her.
As the evening progresses, Nora discovers that her sister isn't as happy and energetic as she had thought.
This was my first ever costume design project I did. Through a friend I was referred to Naomi, who needed someone for styling for her and Job's graduation film. With this production, I used what I learned at AMFI of doing research to study the script, describe the characters and create moodboards to make it visual.
I learned a lot of things, especially what it's like to be on a film set. It was exciting to say the least! I never realised how big a film crew is, how much work goes into it and how important time managment is. For me, this project made me realise I wanted to focus more on costume design and get a better understanding in film as well as other media.
